What Is The Best Way To Cook Crab Legs?

Boiling, steaming, and broiling are three popular ways to cook crab legs. Each method results in tender, juicy crabmeat, so which method is “the best” depends solely on the time and tools you have available.

Boiling: Requires a large pot and time to bring water to a boil.
Steaming: Requires a steamer basket and large pot.
Broiling: Requires a rimmed baking sheet.

Clements Ferry Ace Hardware has a variety of methods to cook your fresh catch, whether you go the traditional route and boil your catch in one of our Kettles from Bayou Classics on an outdoor stove or have some Large Volume to serve up using a High-Pressure Jet Cooker.

If you don't feel like dealing with the Kettle, you can always crack open the wood-fired flavor by smoking your crab directly on the grates of one of our top-of-the-line Traeger grills. Finish your masterpiece off with a homemade BBQ and butter sauce using a cast iron skillet from Lodge for a smokin' take on this seafood favorite. Drench some warm biscuits or bread in the sauce and your guests will surely ask for seconds.
